Process specifications:

FFCC took a long step to energy consumption optimization and emission reduction through implementation of high level technology. Low emissions of less than 30 mg/ton from bag house and 50 mg/ton from clinker cooler filter which are far below the standard are two major instances. In addition, by implementation of dual burners, the plant is uses gas and HFO at the same time.

Production Process:

The raw materials include alluvium as the main material, limestone and iron ore as additives. Also, Gypsum (4%) is used as additive to cement.

Product Characteristics:

FFCC’s enriched quarries are the most important factor of achieving high quality of products. By means of this FFCC produced Type II cement and gained vast markets in short period. Customers’ fulfillment and demand for more purchase obviously proved this.
In development of quality plan, all parameters are set higher than standard. Because of this and because of negligible quantity of impurities such as SO3, NA2O, K2O, MgO and … the quality of product is higher than standards. Also the plant is able to produce other types of cement on demand.

Foreign Suppliers:

FLSmidth as the main contractor, designed and delivered almost all departments of the plant, exceptions were raw mill ( Pfeiffer ), Cement Silo ( IBAU ) , Packing Plant ( Haver&Boecker ). Also, high voltage motors were provided by Elin and Process control unit were provided by FLS Automation.

Quarries:

Raw materials are extracted from open quarries close to the plant.

Area: 3 blocks of 600 hectare each, 1 active

Material: High titer and Low titer alluvium mixed 80/20 in the mix bed.

Mix Bed:

Type: Circular Storage CHO-92

Being the first circular storage unit in the country, FFCC’s mixbed implements the most up to date technology in cement industry.

BagHouse:

As FFCC’s plant is located close to the town of firouzkuh, the most up to date technology is used for bag filters.

The benefits are:

  1. Higher performance in reduction of emissions from the kiln exhaust pipe
  2. Ability to maintain without shut down of the process line
  3. Less sensitivity to changes in process characteristics and in the upset condition
  4. Ability to conform to the process conditions
  5. No shut down due to increase in Carbon Monoxide
